Wifi repeater as a router?

There is a WIFI repeater TL-WA850RE V1.20, it has 1 Ethernet port that is needed to connect an external device via twisted pair. In fact, this device is a router. The main question is how to make it receive the Internet over a twisted pair cable and distribute it over WIFI. It’s just that the device is lying idle when it was used for its intended purpose for a long time and now it’s not really needed, but the router would come in handy. Any ideas about this? (except sell and buy a router)?

Roll openwrt / dd-wrt and it's done :)
