Wifi disappears after installing new versions of the package, i.e. apt upgrade?

Hello everyone,

Lenovo ThinkPad Laptop with Intel® Wireless-AC 9260. Why is the WiFi adapter lost after successfully detecting WiFi during installation and updating Ubuntu 18.04 using the standard: apt-get update && apt-get upgrade?

Tried disabling Secure Boot in UEFI - doesn't help! Is it possible to go back to the old firmware?

all the best,
Vadim

@Viji

try apt update && apt dist-upgrade
If it doesn't help, then find the packages responsible for wifi and block them with apt-mark hold

The use of 3rd party drivers helped, turned on this option during apt upgrade and everything settled into place. will apt dist-upgrade upgrade to version 19?
