In folders with plugins there are files ru_RU.mo and ru_RU.po, in the wordpress admin panel everything is in Russian, but for some reason the plugins do not pick up Russian localization, but only English

Only the option of copying the translation files to the wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder helped, but the translation worked only after renaming the files according to the name of the plugin folder, in this case, renamed it like this:
dwls-ru_RU.po >> daves-wordpress-live-search -ru_RU.po
dwls-ru_RU.mo >> daves-wordpress-live-search-ru_RU.mo

The plugin is really translated into Russian (look at the contents of po mo).
Try this:
wp-config.php
This should be enough.
As a last resort, try this:
Copy the language files from the plugin folder to the languages ​​folder (one level up) languages/plugins/here
