Why won't Windows install through BootCamp?
Problem: after BootCamp partitions the disk into two partitions and the computer reboots, nothing happens, a pure gray screen is on and that's it. At this stage, a normal Windows installation should begin, no different from installing on a PC.
You can reboot, hold down Option and select the disk with the installer, then the installation of the disk starts, but there are problems when you get to the partition selection. Yes, BootCamp initially incorrectly formats the partition for Windows, but after formatting from the installer or even deleting and creating the partition again, it still fails to install on it, it complains about incorrect markup.
I did not see a similar case on the Internet. I tried to install from CD and from different flash drives, different images and VL and assemblies, from Windows 7 to 10. The same problem occurs all the time - why?
