Why won't my MacBook turn on?

For about 2 days, the poppy worked exclusively from the network cable, and not from the battery. The battery was on the verge of 5% charge. Today it has completely stopped working. Who knows what the problem is, in charging or in hardware?

In a dead battery, without it, the macbook will not even work from the network.
