Why won't Docker Dashboard start?

I start the desktop application, but the docker remains in the stopped status, although it should seem to start automatically. I don’t really rummage around in docker, I’m just starting to figure it out so that I can go through their starting tutorial with a react application. Some of the points went through and left the docker, but the next day at startup, it no longer starts automatically. Windows 10.
