Why the site does not open by IP?
I bought a trial VDS for training. When registering, I received a letter from the server IP and other data. Installed LAMP. I'm trying to enter the site using the IP sent to me and see the inscription: "It works!", But for some reason it doesn't work. I do not understand what's the matter, I will be glad to hear your answers.

Too little information. What exactly is going on? Are there logs on the server? Are services running? Try restarting VDS.
What OS, what web server? Maybe the problem is in the firewall. In short, there are many reasons. Describe in more detail.
1. you still have index.html on your site and it has a higher priority than index.php, just delete it.
2. then you are on IP and will not work. By default, Apache has 1 default config and it's kind of a trap, which is used for everything that doesn't hit the site configs, in short, timp /dev/null.
And there can be two solutions.
Find the cause of the gag The server knows about your site, but Apache does not know where its documenroot is
3. There are several sites on this IP, and then you will not get the site by IP because Apache does not know how to divide it into 2 or more sites. If so, then you need to enter your site in the default config, then everything that will fall on this server will fall on your site. And the rest will have their own configs.
4. Your virtual host config to the studio! Where did you put the site?
