Why Telegram bot stops responding after a long period of inactivity?

There is a written bot on the Telegram Bot API, everything works fine at startup, without errors. But if you leave the bot enabled without any action, then after a while the bot stops responding, you need to restart. I don’t understand why this is, maybe the bot is written incorrectly, although there are no errors, or maybe it has something to do with Telegram?
