Why such a stupid limit on the number of "best answers"?

Only five? Seriously? Is 640 kilobytes enough for everyone? 5 answers - is this the maximum that the intellect of the average Toaster visitor can give birth to?

Okay, if this list was formed automatically, then it would not matter. But why did they make it possible to add answers to it manually, and generally organize this list?
I wanted to use this section as a kind of bookmark to put the canonical answers to the most frequently asked questions. But I quickly ran into this ridiculous limitation, because there are a little more than five common problems in programming.

Can I remove this stupid restriction? What is the point of limiting the number of selected answers at all?

But no one will do anything, unfortunately, even if she is really brilliant.

Maybe this is not a ridiculous restriction, but just a bookmarking mechanism is needed? This block is displayed on the page with basic information, and there the restriction is quite justified, since these are, in fact, widgets and they should not turn into a sheet.
I have nothing against the idea, but the format of the claim seems strange to me. But the complexity of the question is indicated correctly - it will really be difficult for users of the service to answer it.
