Why such a slow connection to Synology NAS?
Good afternoon! There was a problem. They brought a NAS from Synology (DS216j) to our office. We connected it to a router (Asus RT-AC87U), set it up. Everything would be fine, but the download speed on the NAS is 1-2Mb / s, which is extremely slow for us. Since many sources weigh 500-1000MB each. Work computers connect to the NAS via wifi.
What could be the problem? Is it all wifi restrictions, or something is configured wrong?

The second consideration regarding the drop in speed: look at the processor load on the device. Either in the terminal, or through the widget on the start page of the web interface. We recently had a story when DrWeb antivirus on Win7 clients "hung" Synology, whose processor load was close to 100%. Techpod from DrWeb recommended a pair of keys in samba.conf - while the flight is normal.
Do not forget, Synolgy has two network cards that can be easily combined into one (bond) through the interface and get conditional 2Gbit via wire)
