Why such a low download speed of the repository?

I go to the folder, I write git init, then git remote add 'repository link'. Then git pull and immediately everything is fine, but with each downloaded file the speed drops, it has been swinging for 2 hours already.

slow HDD (on server or client), bad channel (between server and client), server (or client) slows down
