Why Prestashop stopped showing changes when editing a TPL file?
cleared the cache - does not help, I see the old information on the site

The CMS version is not specified, so I am writing for 1.6.1:
1) If we are talking about a theme template, then maybe the file was put in a folder with another theme, the default theme is there by the standard and when a new theme is installed, a new folder with the name of the theme is created.
2) On the performance page, the checkbox for clearing the cache when something changes is not set.
3) Clean the cache somewhere else, and not through the button on the performance page.
4) If you edit the module template, then it may be overwritten by the template in the theme folder, /themes/default/modules/yourmodule/
