Why might an Ubuntu installation fail with an error?

Hello.
The problem is the following.
I tried to install the Ubuntu 14.04 operating system on the VirtualBox virtual machine, but an error (picrelated) crashes on loading the language packs. What could be the cause of this error?
It is also worth noting that before running the installer, a strange message (error?) appears, which mentions bios and, it seems, the need to update it (picrelated). Could this be related to the error that occurs?
