Air pings are just great.
The 2.4 range is quite busy and many parameters can affect ccq. It may be worth trying to select the least loaded frequency range and fix it on the points. You can also use the nstream protocol instead of nv2. It should work better on point-to-point connections.
And finally, 5 GHz ...
Do you put it in an open field? Noise level -107 at 2.4 looks somehow unrealistic.
Align the signal by polarizations - 3db differences can give a strong drop, somewhere by a factor of two.
The next step is to turn down the power on the transmitters. -60 at the input of the receiver - very good.
And what prevents you from throwing a cable at 120m?
