Why is there such a big ping through Openvpn?

I welcome everyone.
There is a home router Mikrotik and VPS with RouterOS installed on it. It is necessary that the home router connects via VPN to a remote router and takes the Internet from it.
If you connect via PPTP, then everything works fine, but not at home, where the provider blocks the PPTP port.
If you connect via OpenVPN, then the port is not blocked, but the pings increase by more than 2 times.
I mean pings both inside the VPN and to remote addresses, for example 8.8.8.8.
How can you "speed up" OpenVPN?
Or how can I force PPTP or L2TP to go on other ports?

@Roc27

As a result, I installed SSTP.
Although ping increases, but not as much as with OpenVPN. Any port can be set.
Fits 100% for my purposes.

Change to ipsec ipip or ipsec l2tp.
In mikrotik, openvpn is not ideal.
