Why is there still no translator from the animal language?
Good day to all. I asked myself this question, why in the modern age of big data and the progress of ANNs there is still no retoaglator from animal language? I'm just wondering if it's possible to do something like a smartphone for a dog with a gyroscope and sound recording that will transmit data to the ANN. Use something like self-organizing maps plus recurrent neural networks to connect with partners of a dog's behavior and predict its desires? Perhaps there are some pitfalls?

First, the languages of animals (birds, dolphins, wolves, whoever you want) are fairly well understood.
Secondly, devices for translating from dog and cat are made by the Japanese (search on the Internet).
I heard about one pitfall: they have dialects. For example, a flock of birds (of a certain species) from the same forest may not understand the neighbors. Those. it may turn out that a Japanese translator will work well with Japanese dogs, but not so much with ours. Although, who knows - you have to try.
Apparently, there are still not enough sensors to collect this kind of data to create a correctly functioning product.
And besides, according to the majority, the dog:
1. will not bring money
2. will not do what he is told
3. he is incapable of more than is already known at the moment
Analogue: i.e. it's like buying batteries for crazy money and "carrying" them (development time to the final product) to a non-working toy.
My opinion is the exact opposite!
I'm all for it"!
Animals communicate not only by voice, and some do without it at all.
