Why is there no updates for Debian 8.2?

Debian 8.0 was installed on the server. When update 8.1 came out, updates came and I installed them. Same with 8.2. The rest of the time there are no updates. I do sudo apt-get updateit from time to time but nothing happens. What is the difference between Debian and Ubuntu upgrades? What about some kind of vulnerability? Updates come to Ubuntu every day.

You have a release . In debian, a release is a stable system. No new packages will be added. And I will update the existing ones only in case of vulnerabilities.

after this line:
and nothing will be updated. This is just a download (update) of the package list.
To see what is supposed to be updated:
and only then apt-get upgrade(if you really want to)
