Why is there no internet when connecting to VPN via Shimo on Mac OS?

Hello.
Set up a PPTP connection through the Shimo program. Connecting to a remote desktop via Microsoft Remote Desktop is no problem.
Well, other programs do not connect to the Internet.
If you uncheck the Send all traffic over VPN checkbox in the Shimo settings, then the programs will have access to the Internet, but will not connect to the remote desktop.
The Shimo settings include the DNS server address.
What could be the problem?

No route to remote desktop. Add hands or pick the settings.
