Why is there a huge memory consumption of an Android application at startup?
I am writing an application, I noticed that in the new version, the memory just began to flow - at the start of 70 mb. I tried to comment out all the logic in onCreate so that just the skeleton of the application remains - already 60 megabytes. That is, memory is consumed out of thin air. I roll back to the last stable version via git - it works fine. Changed dependencies and code to those in the stable version - memory consumption remains. Looks like a studio\gradle bug. I don't include the source, there are too many. What can you advise? I'm really looking forward to any clue to the root of the problem.

I have already decided. The problem was in the fake shadow - a translucent picture weighing several kilobytes.
