Why is there a black screen with a blinking cursor on boot?

Lenovo s415 ideapad. The processor was recently sentenced - the part that is responsible for the usb ports is faulty. Worked fine except for non-working usb ports. Recently it stopped turning on at all. When loading, the cooler turns on, you can hear from the sound that the laptop is working, but there is a black screen on the screen with a blinking cursor. There is no access to the BIOS, the cmos battery was unsoldered (to reset the bios) - it's useless. What is the most likely cause of this error? I was going to change the processor (it's soldered), but now I'm wondering if it's a motherboard? (the south bridge is integrated into the processor, A5000 percent).

This usually means that the computer cannot initialize some device. Either a hard drive or something in the usb port. Try it without a hard one, maybe it's the same. If not, then I would generally put such a laptop on the shelf. If the usb controller burned out in the process, then anything could happen along the way. Repair is very difficult, it is easier to completely replace the motherboard.
