I set the resolution to 1680x1050 in the game, as in Windows, but when I set the launch to full screen, I see a small window (1680x1050), and the rest of the space is filled with black. If you set the maximum resolution in the game, then it is full screen.
How to enable this in-game zoom? How much I played on Windows laptops, even setting 800x600 at a resolution of 1920x1080 the game stretches to full screen, and then it displays a small window ...

As far as I know, not even the video card is responsible for scaling, but the monitor itself (its driver) and often there are no settings there.
More non-standard resolution scaling settings can be in the video card, look for something like virtual resolution and gpu scaling
