Why is the mouse not working in debian 9(vnc)?

I rented a vps with debian 9 and installed vnc4server, but after connecting the mouse for some reason does not work. Tried different clients, same thing. Has anyone encountered such a problem?

x2godesktopsharing - an add-on that allows one user to share access to the current session to other users, and like VNC, radmin, etc., in order to connect to something on a computer, the client must specify "Local Desktop Connection"
