Why is the microphone noisy at 95+% volume in Linux?
Linux, openSUSE. Pavucontrol + PulseAudio
If the microphone volume is from 0 to 95%, then the sound is good and clear. It is worth putting 96%, immediately wild noises. What's the matter? How to decide? Can limit the volume limit?
It would be possible to always use 95%, but the problem is that auto-volume periodically tries to set it to 100. And how to turn it off in openSUSE, there has not yet been a solution.
