Why is the kernel not updated in ubuntu 14.04?

Hello! I'm trying to update the kernel from 2.6.32-042stab108.1 to v4.3-unstable
I'm doing everything according to this instruction
But after rebooting , the output of uname -a -r is this:
Linux dart 2.6.32-042stab108.1 #1 SMP Thu Apr 23 19: 17:11 MSK 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I.e. The kernel has not been updated yet. What could be the reason?

Understood why. On the VPS where Ubuntu is installed, OVZ virtualization, on which the kernel cannot be updated.

did grub get updated?
show config /boot/grub/grub.cfg
