Why is the Internet not working on a new computer?
Hello. I bought a new computer, installed Windows on it, plugged in a wire from the Internet. I don't have a router or anything, just a wire. On the old computer, the Internet both worked and works, on the new one it does not. It says that there is a network, that the Internet is connected. No red crosses or yellow triangles. Simply in fact there is no Internet, it does not work. If you write ping google.com or any other address on the command line, it says "request timed out". Loses one hundred percent of packets. I have no idea what to do, because I tried everything I could find on the internet. First, Windows 10 was installed, then snees, installed 7, the problem is the same. Help

Call your provider's support. Since there was no router, it means there was either static and / or filtering by mac-address or something else. Well, or see the list of settings in the annexes to the contract
