Why is the .git folder not visible in phpstorm?

Hi all. Created a project through the gitbash console, executed the git init command, opened the project in phpstorm but there is no .git folder there, went to the project folder through the file manager, this folder is there. How to make a folder visible in phpstorm?

Settings / Editor / File Types / - at the bottom there will be "igonre files and folders" There you can remove ".git".
But why go there?
If you still need it, then it is desirable to exclude it so that the storm does not pick "Mark directory as Excluded" there
