Why is the file not being overwritten on the server via ftp?
Hello. Faced such a problem.
The site runs on Bitrix and lies on a dedicated server. When editing some files, after saving the ftp client issues Could not create file. However, this happens once in a while. I use WinSCP
The server is served by a person who gave the following answer to my question.
You reset the file, it is connected with many things. First of all - you have a bad connection, or rather your provider. When the connection is broken, as I see you use winscp - it creates a new connection, the old one is suspended. the server breaks the connection due to a timeout, which is why we get a file with a zero size.

no need to edit files directly on the server - deploy a local copy and work with it, and then merge the final result to the server. you got a pretty good answer.
