Why is the contents of the Windows shared folder not visible?

I have a Windows 10 computer that acts as a storage for others. Everything is ok with Windows computers, but when I tried to connect to it with a freshly installed Ubuntu 14.04 and go to the shared folder, nothing happened: the contents of this folder seemed to not exist. In the properties "Content: empty object", the file system type is CIFS, while the storage size and free space are shown correctly.
What could be the problem? Very grateful.
UPD: Is this possible because a password is not required to enter the folder?

If without a domain, then correct the group policies: allow guests to get into the balls and / or without a password
