Why is the change of the symbol in sketch not processed (see photo)?

There is no change in the symbol in the layout, when changing the source of the symbol. The attached photos show that I changed the source to 24x24 pixels, but in the layouts it remained 25x25, and according to my logic, it should have changed. Why is that?

The behavior is correct, when changing the symbol, its place in the layout does not change. Moreover, when replacing a symbol with another one, it will be inserted with the current dimensions.
ps In older versions of the sketch, changing the symbol led to a change in the layout, not now.
