Why is the authorization component rendered with the "flat" template by default?

Hello.
The question is: why in Bitrix the system.auth.authorize component is connected with the flat template, and not .default ?
Can this be changed somewhere?
Here in the settings of the main module it is empty, but flat is connected. Means so it is registered at kernel level?

The template is set at the component connection level => find the system.auth.authorize component connection and change the template.
