Why is < replaced with < when receiving a request in a json string?

Why, when sending an html code like this to the server: <h1>Hello</h1>the < sign itself is encoded into a set of characters? How can I get rid of this and make them display in a normal way?

@vabka

< and > in html are represented as &lt; и &gt;
Apparently you have some kind of thing that escapes html for safety.
How to display normally is a question for the technology used.
