Why is RAM running at a lower frequency in Windows 10 (333MHz instead of 1600MHz)?
Why is RAM running at a lower frequency in Windows 10 (333MHz instead of 1600MHz) and does it affect gaming performance? I checked it on a laptop, it shows correctly SODIMM 1600 MHz in the Task Manager.
There are 2 DDR3 memory modules of 8 GB 1600 MHz Hynix CL11.

You are confusing the memory frequency and the effective frequency.

I have exactly the same thing. The frequency was 2133 MHz and became 1867 MHz. It’s a pity that I didn’t notice what happened after that. This probably happened due to the firmware of the modified BIOS or from installing a Windows 10 OEM license. DDR4-2133 and set 133 MHz in the DRAM Reference Clock function.
