Why is PostgreSQL missing from hosting services?
The other day, a friend asked for help with a request to raise a site with a database. It had to be done quickly.
The sources contain Laravel + PostgreSQL backup. In general, the problem is solved by purchasing a VPS. But the deadlines were burning, and the fastest, as I thought, was to upload everything to the hosting. But not everything turned out to be so simple.
MySQL has always been enough for me for my small projects. And I never used PostgreSQL. I started looking for hosting and it turned out that exclusively everything in hosting services offers only MySQL.
In this regard, I have a question - why is this so? And is there an "office" that allows you to use PostgreSQL when buying cloud hosting?

So buy a VPS and don't suffer. It ends up being a lot cheaper. Ever since I took vps in Europe, I can’t look at hosting prices at all.
And you need time there, register a dns record, install Apache / PHP / PostgreSQL, create a virtual host, create a database - that's all)
you can order a VPS and deploy your LAPP bundle there, there are no DBMS restrictions for VPS.
hosting, on the other hand, is a highly specialized solution for standard sites, and as a rule, it makes no sense to make the second DBMS heavier and confuse the configuration of a dual DBMS
