Why does everyone say that only the grid should be taken from bootstrap? Is it bad to use components necessary for the project, like an accordion and a modal? Or is it better to use another framework for this?

Bootstrap can be used if:
1) there is no specific design or design preferences there is no design (business card site, some kind of admin panel)
2) when the designer made the layout according to the bootstrap grid :)
3) when you understand that, in principle, something from bootstrap will do.
4) when you don't know how to flex :)
Bootstrap is not suitable if you need to lay out a layout with a "unique" design. :)
At first, I also thought that bootstrap was genius itself and the solution to all my problems, but you can’t shove it everywhere. It will be a cloud of redefinitions of styles, simply horror. And if you see that you have a lot of such elements in your layout, such as 6 blocks, 4 blocks, 2 blocks, then why not pull out only one component with a grid, file it, use it and no hemorrhoids and redefinitions?

A lot of programmers use bootstrap to create working application prototypes. I threw ready-made elements into the finished grid and you are sitting on the wrong side. For more, it is no longer suitable, because. customization is often very unpredictable. I have experience in redesigning a service made by a bootstrap programmer - the pleasure is below average. In the end, we decided to build completely from scratch.
PS I do not agree with those who write that the mesh of the buta is convenient (I'm talking about the 3rd one)

I use it in every project, but only those modules that are needed, and with very serious customization, in the form of sass, of course, until you look into the structure, you will not understand that this is a bootstrap. Of the obvious advantages - an excellent set of mixins, tinker a little, and here it is, as it is drawn in the layout :) there is a modal, there is a slider, there is an accordion ... All this is present in 99% of projects, and although all these scripts will not be difficult for me write it yourself, but it's all the time ...
And, well, the most important thing is adaptability.
