Why is my phone not being deleted from my google account?

Why is the mobile phone number not deleted in the google account, in the personal information section (My account - Privacy - Personal information - The "Phone" field)?
When you click on the delete button (a button with a picture of a trash can), a message appears that the phone number has been deleted, but it still remains in that field. Even after refreshing the page and re-logging into the account.
At the same time, in the "Security and Login" section, the phone number (as a backup) is not linked to the account.

I just went to the profile to check, where my old number was linked to Hangouts and
deleted the phone without difficulty. Perhaps the point is that
there has been no activity on Hangouts for more than two years.
