Why is modal transition animation not firing in vue.js?

I did everything according to this example , but it was not possible to achieve a smooth transition. What am I doing wrong?

I also noticed that in the modal window itself, for some reason, the colors became paler, because of what?

No transition was set for .overlayand .modal-container.
