Only priorities are used. In Bitrix, you can set meta tags in the settings of the infoblock, section, and on the pages of the products themselves and trade offers, in addition, you can kill seo data using the template

$APPLICATION->SetPageProperty('title', $MY_TITLE);
$APPLICATION->SetTitle($MY_TITLE);

I also note that the cache for SEO is cleared in the seo tabs themselves, this option is called "Clear cache of calculated values".
