Why is Laravel-mix picking up a very large file?

The project uses Laravel + VueJS + Vuetify .
Due to Vuetify, the app.js file compiled with Vuetify npm run prodis over 2MB in size.
If you separately deploy Vue CLI + Vuetify, app.js weighs no more than 500KB there.
How to make Laravel-mix compile the same way Vue CLI does?
