Why is it not recommended to post binaries on github?

Many times I met a mention that uploading project binaries to jithub is highly discouraged. The question is why? It's convenient.

Let's start with the fact that Git is pronounced Git.
Further, git is not designed to work with non-text formats. Non-text files lead to a slowdown in work with the storage itself and to a significant increase in its size. And the compiled versions of the files in the commit are not needed.
By the way, github allows you to publish release versions of programs without any problems.

Github was originally designed for Open-source projects or source binaries. You should publish binaries only as an example or as an already assembled build.
