Why is it impossible to install MS Office 2013 under Windows 8 Pro x64?

When trying to install MS Office 2013 under Windows 8 Pro x64, the installation ends with the installer reporting an error (no details), after which the system reports the "Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper" error. It spits out this in the log: pastebin.com/9ADmPUVE . Google suggests either cleaning the system from previous versions of Office with fixits or hands, which did not help, or rearranging the system, which is very undesirable. Where else can you dig?

Had the same problem, when installing Office 2013 - error 1063... Tried different things.
The problem was solved in a rather unusual way: I turned on the task scheduler (at first it didn’t want to start because of dependencies, I also had to turn on the event log along the way (start with it if there is a problem), and a number of others - all the information is on the Internet).
After that, Office installed.
