iptables

Why is iptables not working?

There is a server with centos 7 and vesta cp. Immediately after installation, iptables does not work:

[[email protected] ~]# systemctl status iptables
* iptables.service - IPv4 firewall with iptables
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/iptables.service; disabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: inactive (dead)

If you run it manually through service iptables start, then it starts, but without taking into account the rules of vesta and in the vesta panel itself, it is still shown as idle. Advise what can be done? There are ports.conf and rules.conf rules.

@tamogavk

You need to create a daemon in /etc/systemd/

In CentOS 7, firewalld is used by default, maybe this is the case? Disable it and install iptables (it's easy to google).

You need to submit this question to the VestaCP forum.
Although we personally did not notice the error you described. We install the VestaCP panel daily.
