Why is flutter pub get loading endlessly?

I work in VS Code, tried to connect to the Firebase database, did everything according to the instructions. Changed the pubspec.yaml file and ran the flutter pub get command , but for some reason it loads endlessly. Tried flutter clean but nothing helped)
