Why is firefox stupid on android?

Nexus 5 Lolipop.
I really like FF, because there is a function of browsing pages in reading mode (like in safari). BUT! The browser is very slow. At first, I cursed at the bad connection, but then deliberately opening the same page, all other things being equal, in Chrome they appeared almost instantly, and in FF, the progress bar had three distinct phases. Quickly flies somewhere up to 30%. then 10 seconds tupit, then flies up to 70%, tupit again. Sometimes indecently long. And in the end, after 20-30 seconds of a white screen, a page appears. Has anyone come across? Why is that?? What to do?

the same crap.
and it feels like this happened after one of the FF updates. Versions after 54 or newer. Never seen such problems before.
This is especially noticeable when searching for quotes through Yandex. Quotes - when a lot of words are undermined, more than 4.
And this is where the stupidity is the toughest. 30%, then after a minute (pike a minute) 70% and after another minute "check the Internet connection"
Despite the fact that the neighboring tab is miraculously updated and reloaded without interrupting and so obvious freezes
from which to refuse:
- from the latest version of FF
- from FF in general
- from Yandex search on a tablet
??
Already really annoying
