Why is Apache not responding to settings?

Good evening.
Apache is installed on Ubuntu. In /etc/apache2/httpd.conf I registered a folder in /home/administrator as DocumentRoot, then restarted Apache. When opening a domain bound to a server, it still opens the old folder (/var/www).
What could be wrong?

Check that the /etc/apache2/sites-enabled directory does not contain a virtual host configuration file (for example, default) that has a different DocumentRoot.
