Why files stopped uploading after moving from OpenServer to VPS?

I made a site on OpenServer with the ability to upload files to the server. Files loaded normally on OpenServer . But when I uploaded the site to VPS , the files stopped loading. I use this file system: /photos/a/1/w/image.jpg . The photos folder initially had permissions of 755, I changed them to 777. The files started to upload, but I can’t work with them in php (resize, overwrite), what could be the matter?
If anything, VPS on Linux with Ubuntu 20.04 .
