Why don't two identical RAM modules work?
Hello!
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI (rev. 3.0) . RAM modules: Kingston HX318C10F*K2/8 .
This problem is a development of this problem.
After sitting and sorting through a bunch of different combinations of "put in and out" I came to the conclusion that the matter is in the RAM.
There were two modules. And after analyzing, I realized that the problem with the RAM just the same can lead to everything freezing and not loading everything.
But I'm not sure if the problem is 100% in RAM or MP.
I took two more RAM modules from my other PC - this is Geil GB316GB1600C10DC . And here's the trick:
- We stick one Kingston HX318C10F * K2 / 8 module - it works ;
- We stick one Geil GB316GB1600C10DC module - it works ;
- We stick two Kingston HX318C10F*K2/8 modules - it was not possible to start the OS, even the BIOS;
- We stick two Geil GB316GB1600C10DC modules - it was not possible to start the OS , even the BIOS;
- We stick one Kingston HX318C10F * K2 / 8 module and one Geil GB316GB1600C10DC module - it works .
What are your thoughts on this?
I don't even know who to blame - MP or RAM. It seems that two modules, although from different manufacturers, work, but on the other hand, two identical pairs do not work.

I'll repeat the answer from "that thread":
Are parts purchased from the same place?
Then everything is back to them, let them look for a defective spare part and change it under warranty.
Here: www.gigabyte.ru/products/page/mb/ga-f2a88xn-wifire... there is a memory compatibility list for the motherboard, your brackets are not listed, do not believe it, but this is a fairly common problem.
By installing non-HQL components, you do so at your own risk. By the way, you can try to update the BIOS, sometimes (rarely) it helps.
