Why don't android clients get ipv6 over vpn/pptp?

Tcnm server ubuntu 20.04 with pptpd daemon.
The /etc/ppp/pptpd-options properties contain
+ipv6
ipv6 ::1,::2
If you connect to a Windows10 server via vpn/pptp, the client receives ipv4 and ipv6 link-local addresses and everything works.
If you connect to the server from Android via vpn/pptp, the client receives only ipv4.
What needs to be tweaked on the server so that pptpd gives an ipv6 address to the client with android?
