Why doesn't xdebug work with PhpStorm 2020.3 with php 7.4 and xdebug-2.7.2?

everything worked with the tube before...
I tried xdebug 3, still
"Validate Debugger" shows green checkboxes.

don't know what else to dig?

This is a bug in PHPStorm 2020.3 ( WI-56500 , WI-57282 ), already fixed, update is promised in a week.
For now, you can upgrade XDebug to 3.0.x or 2.9.8, that solves the problem. Or roll back to PHPStorm 2020.2.4
