Why doesn't Windows like the Program folder?
Created a folder 'Program'. When you turn on the computer, this name is not liked by Windows. Why? I tried it on my laptop - there is no swearing (UPDATE: checked - swears, apparently before that I created it on D: or with a slightly different name). Looking for something in rights? (there are a couple of files inside, one of which is related to the Lectus OPC server. Maybe it's in it?)

Some older programs use the compatible folder shorthand "C://PROGRA~1" instead of "C://Program Files", which means refer to the first folder prefixed with "PROGRA". By creating the "Program" folder, you thereby "stand in front" of "Program Files", which is why these old programs will climb into your folder instead of the system one.
Windows suggests adding the number 1 to the end of the name so that your folder becomes the second one after "Program Files", restoring justice and returning the monarchy to the original ruler
thesis about order
instead of "C://Program Files", which means accessing the first folder with the "PROGRA" prefix. By creating the "Program" folder, you thereby "stand in front of" "Program Files"criticized with examples in the comment under the corresponding answer
Progra~1
stored in the file system along with a long name , the number is assigned in the order the file / folder was created and nothing else
