Why doesn't the font work on the Japanese keyboard?

Downloaded some new fonts to use on hieroglyphs. In Russian and English, some fonts work, as soon as I switch to the Japanese keyboard and start entering the alphabet or hieroglyphs, the font automatically becomes the standard MS Mincho.
Some fonts are not displayed at all, some display random hieroglyphs when typing in English or Russian.
Tell me what is the problem and how to fix it?
